Christmas Fruit and Nut Bark **RECIPE**

Like my Sitto long ago, I am really "in the Christmas spirit" in my kitchen. And so I decided to make the two things that I love: chocolate and dried fruits and nuts. Here's the combination together! I call it Christmas Fruit and Nut Bark, and it's so easy to do. Here's the recipe.

Christmas Fruit and Nut Bark from Sitto's Kitchen to Yours!

Prepare a glass 7 x 10 inch pan with parchment paper in the bottom, cut to fit. You can leave an overhang for easy removal.

1 cup mixed fruits and nuts (or your favorite trail mix)
Place on top of the parchment paper and spread around.

16 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips (milk chocolate or your choice)
1 tsp coconut oil
In a microwave, melt gradually in a glass bowl - stirring in between bursts until melted. Don't overheat as chocolate will seize.

After the chocolate is melted, spoon it evenly over the fruits and nuts. Allow to cool and firm up.

Turn upside down on a waxed paper-lined counter, and break into serving-sized pieces. That's it!

This makes a great no-bake dessert for a party table or a bring-along hostess gift. Or wrap it pretty and make it a Christmas gift!

Cook’s Notes:  I used dried cherries and cranberries, too.
